KUCHING, Feb 27: Oriented Pied Hornbill Jimmy of Piasau Nature Reserve has found himself a girlfriend!
Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) had christened Jimmy’s newly found love, Valentine, as the two were found courting close to Valentine’s Day.
“The new female is seen surveying the nest cavity which had been the birthplace of numerous young hornbills in Piasau Nature Reserve,” it read in SFC’s social media post today.
Together with it were a few close-up photos of the bird couple.
“Long may Jimmy continue to be the male presiding over the cavity, and we do hope that the new young female will be around for years to come and be a long-term companion,” SFC said. — DayakDaily
