KUCHING, July 23: A section of Jalan Wan Alwi, located in front of the Tabuan Jaya Custom Housing Quarters, will be temporarily diverted for six months to facilitate construction works under the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) development.
In an advisory issued today, Sarawak Metro said the temporary diversion will take effect from July 24, 2026, until Jan 23, 2027.
Road users travelling through the affected area are advised to exercise caution and remain vigilant while driving near the work zone.
Motorists are also urged to comply with all traffic management measures, including road signages and designated speed limits, to ensure the safety of both road users and construction workers.
Sarawak Metro said it will continue to provide updates to the public should there be any changes to the construction works or traffic arrangements.
