KUCHING, Aug 19: The new Jalan Bubut Sojak Cluster involving two infected villages is currently the fifth active cluster in Bau.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said 25 individuals tested positive in the cluster and another 26 were negative.
A total of 60 individuals underwent the screening tests, with nine more samples awaiting laboratory test results.
“The Jalan Bubut Sojak Cluster is a community cluster that involved several families residing in two villages namely Kampung Bobak Sajong and Kampung Bobak Sejinjang at Jalan Bubut Sojak,” said SDMC in a statement today.
The committee assured that all patients were admitted into the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH), Bau and Kuching Low-risk Treatment and Quarantine Centres (PKRCs).
Meanwhile, the other four active clusters in Bau are the Sega Cluster, Duyoh Cluster, Bunga Rampai Cluster and Jalan Seringgok Cluster which, respectively, registered 162, 53, 195 and 16 cumulative until today.
Today, Sarawak also recorded a second new cluster which was the Nanga Puti Cluster in Tatau with 37 confirmed cases and 33 samples which are still awaiting laboratory test results.
The Nanga Puti Cluster is the 118th active cluster in Sarawak to-date. — DayakDaily
