Jagoi Trail Run 2024 draws 300 runners from 11 countries

KUCHING, March 9: The Jagoi Trail Run 2024 saw the participation of approximately 300 runners from 11 countries, embarking on a challenging journey through the scenic trails of Mount Jagoi and surrounding areas.

Tasik Biru assembly Dato Henry Harry Jinep flagged off the event at the Jagoi area, marking the beginning of a thrilling adventure for the participants. The routes covered diverse terrain, including dense forests, palm oil plantations, and even passing through Serikin Market near the Malaysia-Indonesia border.


The runners were divided into four categories, ranging from six kilometers to 70 kilometers, catering to varying levels of experience and endurance.

Supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak, N2 Tasik Biru Service Center, Sarawak Land Custody and Rehabilitation Authority (Salcra), and F&N Sarawak, the event aimed to promote outdoor recreation and showcase the natural beauty of Sarawak’s landscapes.

Participants expressed excitement and enthusiasm as they tackled the challenging trails, with many enjoying the opportunity to explore the scenic routes and test their physical abilities amidst the picturesque surroundings. — DayakDaily
