PETALING JAYA, July 14: The Isuzu D-Max featuring its innovative new 1.9-litre Blue Power engine has been named Pick-up Truck of the Year by DSF.my, one of the country’s top automotive websites.

The latest accolade comes at the heels of the earlier award by the Carlist website that named the Isuzu D-Max as the pick-up truck with the best engine in 2019.

The awards presented by these motoring experts underline the superior technology engineered into the new 1.9-litre RZ-4E engine whose displacement is more regularly associated with compact family hatchbacks than hard-working pick-up trucks.

Developed from the ground up using innovative designs and cutting-edge materials, Isuzu has been able to realise greater all-round performance including better power, higher torque, greater fuel efficiency, improved durability and increased environmental-friendliness whilst lowering noise levels, reducing CO2 emissions, lessening maintenance, shaving weight and cutting friction.

“The latest award is an acknowledgement of Isuzu’s commitment towards building better and more technologically-advanced vehicles for our customers. The award is certainly a fitting recognition of the efforts by Isuzu’s engineers but the real winners who enjoy the big benefits are definitely our Isuzu customers,” said Chief Operating Officer Masayuki Suzuki.

The Isuzu D-Max 1.9 Blue Power range comes in a variety of configurations that offer customers the ideal model to meet their usage and budgets. Starting with a Low Ride Double Cab that is priced from just RM80,149.20 (OTR without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia), this version is the perfect partner for urban-based businesses that need to move both people and equipment efficiently.

There is also a Single Cab version that places a strong emphasis on carrying capacity. With a long bed section, the Single Cab even comes with a 4×4 drivetrain so getting to and from remote work sites with all your cargo intact might require a hard-working model like this.

The range then extends up to the high ride double cabs that are available either with auto or manual transmissions, 4×4 or 4×2 drivetrains and a choice of entry-level Type B and Premium versions.

Every Isuzu D-Max enjoys a five-year or 150,000km warranty and with authorized dealerships located conveniently throughout the country, it offers genuine peace of mind motoring, wherever you are in the country.
