KUCHING, Sept 11: International DJ and multi-platinum selling artist Alan Walker has proven that it is not such a bad idea to fall into the ‘dark side’ here at the Borneo Music Festival Live (BMFL) 2022 held at Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) last night (Sept 10).

The hitmaker of ‘Faded’ and ‘Darkside’ did not disappoint as he made his debut performance here in Sarawak, and even Malaysia, to headline the second day of the festival.

From the moment he stepped onto the stage, the crowd had their phones up to record the precious moment or were dancing to the beat with their hands in the air.

Although he performed the last to wrap up the BMFL, it is safe to say that the long wait was worth it for the crowd.

This is because the line-up before him also put on amazing performances, leaving the crowd energetic from start to finish.

The crowd pulled out their mobile phones to record the moment during DJ Soda’s session on the first day of BMFL 2022.

They include DJ Paul, DJ Afick (from ERA Sarawak), Amanda (from MY Sarawak), Lanny (from HITZ Sarawak), At Adau, DJ MYVAX, ThomasJack, Priscilla Abby, DJ Alexis Grace, MC Vibe, Nicole Chen, and DJ Venom C.

The show ended at 12.20am today (Sept 11).

Meanwhile, South Korean-DJ — DJ Soda headlined the first day of the festival. The line-up also comprised DJ Paul, DJ Afick (from ERA Sarawak), Amanda (from MY Sarawak), Lanny (from HITZ Sarawak), Buloh Berkocak, Tuku’ Kame’, DJ Chaca, Rynn Lim, DJ Ice Cream, MC Vibe, DJ X Factor, and Moski Love.

BMFL 2022 was brought exclusively by Amazing Aurora Entertainment and organised by Firmament Event Studio in collaboration with More Entertainment.

The festival might be first of its kind, but Sarawak is no stranger to being an ideal destination for music tourism as it is home to music festivals such as Rainforest World Music Festival, Borneo Jazz Festival, Kuching Jazz Festival, Kuching Festival, Miri Country Music Festival, Sibu International Dance Festival, and Borneo Cultural Festival. — DayakDaily
