Imperial Garden Hotel’s ‘Jom Makan Buka Puasa’ buffet is back

Imperial Garden Restaurant offers a magnificent array of authentic traditional delicacies as well as international favourites for the sumptuous Ramadan buffet spread.

KUCHING, March 27: Imperial Hotel Kuching’s popular ‘Jom Makan Buka Puasa’ buffet dinner is back at Imperial Garden Restaurant for guests to share the bliss of the holy month of Ramadan with their loved ones.

This year, its culinary team have prepared a magnificent array of authentic traditional delicacies and international favourites for the sumptuous buffet spread.

The lavish buffet spread features salads and appetisers, main dishes (on rotation basis), action stall (roast), a grill station, a noodle station, a bubur corner, a street corner and a dessert and ice cream station.

Starters include seafood on ice with prawns, mussels, bamboo clams and crabs, varieties of umai including fish, prawns and calamari, as well as salted fish, sambal, crackers, kerabu, ulam-ulaman and also salads.

Among the must-try items are the succulent roasted whole lamb with Arabic rice, the flavourful baked whole fish with Chef’s special sauce, and chicken shawarma.

The lavish buffet spread features salad and appetiser, main dishes (on rotation basis), action stall (roast), grilled station, a noodle station, bubur corner, a street corner and a dessert and ice cream station.

At its grill station, there are an array of chicken, peppery minute beef, grilled seafood and satay, together with sauces and condiments.

Soups offered in the rotational menu are the authentic sup ekor lembu, chicken herb soup, Chinese eight treasure soup, tom yam soup, sup kambing mamak and the flavourful sea cucumber soup.

No Ramadan spread is complete without the delectable signature bubur pedas and bubur lambuk — grind porridge with mixed spices, the classic biryani rice, tomato rice, mutton curry, sayur umbut lemak putih and many other local authentic dishes.

For those who prefer noodles, Imperial Garden Restaurant offers delectable Sarawak delicacies such as laksa Sarawak, belachan bee hoon, sotong kangkung, asam laksa mee, kolo mee and many more.

To round the meal off, head to the dessert counter to enjoy a delightful selection of the chef’s homemade cakes and pastries, various types of local and Nyonya kuih, choices of ice cream, and an ABC counter with various toppings.

Available throughout the Ramadan month, the buffet dinner at Imperial Garden Restaurant is priced at RM119 nett per adult and RM59.90 nett per child (5-12 years old).
