KUCHING, June 28: A husband and a wife were ordered to undergo a six-month peace bond of RM2,000 each.
The 42-year-old husband and 38-year-old wife pleaded guilty to a charge of causing hurt to one another over a family matter under Section 67 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Magistrate Zubaidah Sharkawi placed both of them on a six-month peace bond of RM2,000 each.
In her police report, the wife stated that her husband slapped and hit her, causing her to fall to the ground. In his report, the husband claimed that his wife had hit him while asking him for money to buy diapers for their baby.
The incident took place at their house in Kampung Semerah Padi at about 6:30am on June 23.
Inspector Nur Syafiqa Nyaie Ilin appeared for the prosecution, while both accused were unrepresented by counsel. — DayakDaily
