KUCHING, Oct 4: The construction of Hong Seng Lee’s (HSL) resort-themed Precinct Grande showhouse at La Promenade has reached 70 per cent completion with full completion expected within the next nine months.

HSL’s head of property department Tay Chiok Kee said Precinct Grande continues La Promenade’s hallmark landscape-first approach, collaborating with three architecture practices namely David Ong, MNSC Architects and IntoDesign Lab—with each taking a segment to create a cohesive yet varied estate.

“Every home enjoys a shared garden either to the side or rear, adding greenery and privacy between neighbours.

“Grande also features our largest clubhouse to date, which will include a 26-metre saltwater pool, gym and function rooms are exclusive to Grande’s 93 homes, ensuring privacy,” he said.

It was also revealed that only 20 homes will be built in this exclusive resort series, valued at RM3.48 million each.

The three-storey duplex features 4,080 square feet of space, a private lift, and an elderly-friendly bedroom with an en suite bathroom on the ground floor, with bare units starting from RM2.8 million.

Futhermore, the precinct features 17 per cent open green space and a low density of 4.7 homes per acre, with trees carefully chosen to enhance canopy cover along parks and playgrounds.

Architect David Ong emphasized that HSL’s design briefs are never repetitive and for Precinct Grande, the focus was on creating extra private space for homeowners.

“In response, the entire third floor of the Resort Duplexes functions like a private condominium: step out of the lift into a single, luxurious suite with bedroom, study, reading nook, walk-in wardrobe and a his-and-her bathroom—over 1,000 square feet on its own,” he added.

Additionally, Studio Objects of Affection principal Amily Voon, who led the interior design, said her team planned spaces to frame garden views and chose custom-made, imported furniture using real merbau wood and natural stone to enhance the resort feel.

HSL is currently building the last block of eight bungalows in Precinct Grande.
