KUCHING, May 25: Petrajaya’s most popular housing estate, Samariang Aman 3 (SA3), is better than ever with the opening of the new garden-themed showhouse, Rumah Flora today, highlighting the many benefits of landed properties.

The developer, Hock Seng Lee (HSL), has transformed a large single-storey semi-detached house into a beautiful and lush dwelling.

With a land size of 294m2 and an interior space of 1,260sqft, the showhouse boasts plenty of landscaped areas, cross ventilation, natural lighting, outdoor deck, home office, and bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms.

The showhouse also maximises the best features of SA3’s signature high ceilings with custom cabinetry and striking artworks for decoration.

Chai Si Yong, the architect for this phase of SA3, emphasised that landed properties are the most in-demand type of houses.

“HSL is one of the few developers offering lots of landed housing in the market. Landed homes have gardens, offering great views, more personal outdoor space, and these single-storey homes have exceptionally high ceilings.

“They are designed for a luxurious feel. We focus hard on delivering comfort for the home occupants like cross ventilation. Windows are placed ideally, and their large openings offer the best views of your own gardens,” he said in a statement following the grand opening of the Rumah Flora showhouse today.

Showhouse interior designer Amily Voon shared that space gave homeowners more options for layout, space use, and decoration.

“Upon the first site visit, the idea of connecting internal living space with the backyard came to me almost intuitively.

“I wanted to seamlessly extend the living, dining and kitchen areas into the beautiful patio and garden. I hope this showhouse shows how we can incorporate nature into our daily activities, and foster interaction with neighbours,” she said.

Senior property development general manager Tay Chiok Kee said HSL is committed to building the best landed housing of its price class.

“We have always believed that in whatever we do, we should aim to do the best. We consistently put in dedicated effort to achieve our ambitious goals, even though we may not always succeed.

“Post-Hari Raya, the developer has been busy finishing off work for the early buyers of SA3. We are glad to be readying to hand over keys. I must thank all homeowners for their patience, as Covid-19 caused delays that affected the whole industry,” he said.

SA3, spanning 310 acres, will feature at least 3,100 landed houses upon completion and is a continuation of HSL’s award-winning original Samariang Aman and SA2. Divided into three distinct master plans, SA3 includes a single centralised open space, totalling 31 acres, designed to promote healthy lifestyles.

Sarawak’s own influencer NgekTsai, with over 700,000 followers and a resident himself, serves as the brand ambassador for SA3, hosting home tours of Rumah Flora for visitors, including a lucky draw.
