House stripped of applicances by robbers

MIRI, June 23: Several home appliances were reported missing, believed to be stolen from a vacant house in Piasau Utara.

Amongst items reported stolen were two sets of bathroom showers, three door notches, window frames, water tap heads, and two bathroom buckets.


The house was still disconnected from utilities.

The incident was discovered when the 30-something owner visited the house around 8am today. The last time she went to check on the house was on June 15.

During the earlier visits, the appliances were still there, until June 22.

According to sources, the suspect(s) were believed to have gained access to the house via a living room window.

Sources added, that the house is vacant and still undergoing renovation works when the incident took placed.

A police report has been lodged at Lutong police station.

The case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for housebreaking.

Police were also despatched to the house to investigate. — DayakDaily
