KUCHING, April 21: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong wind warning for several areas in Sarawak, effective until 7pm today.
The affected areas include Kuching (Kuching), Samarahan, Sri Aman (Sri Aman), Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu (Tatau), Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan, and Marudi), and Limbang.

The warning was issued at 4.25pm after signs indicated thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm per hour, expected to persist for more than an hour.
