Heavy rain, strong winds expected in S’wak from Feb 4-7

KUCHING, Feb 2: The retreating monsoon that is expected to occur from Feb 4-7 could potentially cause heavy and continuous rainfall and strong winds in Sarawak and Sabah, says the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia).

In a notice posted on its Facebook today, the department said that a continuous rain warning had been issued to Sarawak effective Feb 4-5, in addition to a warning for strong winds from Feb 4-7.

The department advised the public to refer to its official website and social media pages, as well as download the myCuaca application, for the latest weather forecasts. — DayakDaily
