KUCHING, Jan 8: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for various areas in Sarawak this evening.
Anticipated weather conditions include thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and strong winds affecting Kuching (Bau and Lundu), Sri Aman (Sri Aman), Sarikei (Sarikei), and Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro). The warning, issued at 6.15pm today, remains in effect until 9pm.
“A thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity of more than 20 mm/hour that is close or expected to last for more than an hour,” it highlighted. — DayakDaily
