Heavy rain expected in Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Lawas until 7pm (Sept 22)

KUCHING, Sept 22: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued an advisory for possible thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds for Southern Sarawak and Lawas.

According to the advisory, which was released at 4.10pm, the affected areas in Southern Sarawak include Kuching, Serian, and Samarahan, apart from Lawas, where heavy rain is expected until 7pm.

A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with rain intensity exceeding 20 millimetres per hour expected to occur for more than an hour.
