HDC appoints Ngadan as rep for Batu Kawah RPR flat

KUCHING, June 28: Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has appointed Ngadan Jawa as its representative for the Batu Kawah people’s housing programme (RPR) project at Taman Sri Cahaya, Tondong, Sg Moyan here.

In a statement, HDC revealed Ngadan will assist the corporation to supervise infrastructure in the area and any problems faced by the said RPR residents may be channelled to HDC through Ngadan.


In order to ensure that the needy can secure RPR units, HDC explained that Ngadan will go undertake a survey and conduct registration to list down any vacant units and give feedback to HDC.

Meanwhile, Minister for Local Government and Housing Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian witnessed Ngadan receiving his appointment letter from HDC chief executive officer (CEO) Mohamad Asman Ahmad yesterday.

Dr Sim expressed belief that Ngadan’s appointment will facilitate better management of long-term issues faced by RPR Batu Kawah flat residents.

He revealed that the Tondong RPR flats were built in 1999 as an HDC development project and that various infrastructure upgrading works are now underway and are being planned by his ministry to better serve the residents there.

He added the ministry has also allocated RM11 million to survey 10,000 flat units under HDC throughout Sarawak for the purpose of issuing strata titles. — DayakDaily
