KUCHING, Sept 3: As of 7pm today, Sri Aman is the only division in Sarawak that recorded air pollution (API) readings more than 100 (unhealthy).
Based on a report by Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS), the division’s API reading peaked at 119 followed by Serian at 93, Kuching (92), Samarahan (80), Sarikei (80), Bintulu (70), Miri (67), Sibu (64), Kapit (64), Mukah (61), and Limbang (58).
Sri Aman has been recording readings of over 100 since 4am yesterday (Sept 2) and it peaked at 153 from 1pm until 4pm today.
An API reading of 0–50 indicates good air quality; 51–100 is considered moderate; 101–200, unhealthy; 201–300, very unhealthy and above 300, hazardous. – DayakDaily
