KUCHING, Jan 7: The trial involving a hawker for alleged trafficking of 385.75 grammes of methamphetamine will start tomorrow at the High Court here.
The accused, Liew Shan Ho, 24, is charged under Paragraph 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. The offence is punishable under Subsection 39B(2) of the same Act, which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
Liew is accused of trafficking 385.75 grammes of methamphetamine at about 3.30pm on May 2, 2018, at a house in RPR Matang Mahlihah.
He is represented by defence counsels Roger Chin and Osman Ibrahim, while DPP Hayda Faridzal Abu Hasan will prosecute. — DayakDaily
