Half of Sarawak’s 40 districts now Covid-19 red zones

KUCHING, April 19: Half of Sarawak’s 40 districts have been declared as Covid-19 red zones as of today.

With Sri Aman and Bukit Mabong raising their red flags today, State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said there are now 20 Covid-19 red zones in Sarawak.

Both the districts were converted from orange zones to red after registering 44 local cases in the past 14 days.

SDMC, in its statement today, also said Tatau was converted from a yellow to an orange zone after recording 33 local cases in the last two weeks.

With that, the number of Covid-19 orange zones increased to five while there are 11 yellow and four green zones. ā€” DayakDaily
