Half-eaten body of missing man thought to be croc victim found

LUNDU, Jan 25: Villagers have found a badly-mauled body of a 37-year-old man that was reported missing yesterday.

According to the state Fire and Rescue operation centre, the remains of the deceased, believed to be a crocodile victim, were found at Sungai Ulu Lobak, some 30 minutes travel by boat from here.

ā€œThe remains were found at 7am the next day (Jan 25) with only half of the body intact including the head, believed to be eaten by crocodile.

ā€œThe body was handed over to the police for further action,ā€ the statement said.

The deceased was reported missing after failing to return home before midnight after he went on a fishing trip at Sungai Chupin.
