SIBU, Jan 25: Two houses and two vehicles were destroyed in an early morning fire at Kampung Bandung here today.
The Fire and Rescue Department dispatched 14 firefighters from its Sibu fire station and eight from the Sungai Merah fire station upon receiving a distress call at 3.36am.
“One of the house was completely razed and the other house was 98 per cent damaged when firefighters arrived at the scene at Jalan Abang Barieng, Kampung Bandung.
“The fire also destroyed a sedan car and burned one side of another vehicle, which was parked in the vicinity,” the department said in a statement.
No injuries were reported in the incident. — DayakDaily
