KUCHING, April 21: Social events such as weddings, engagements, receptions, birthday and anniversary celebrations, thanksgivings, reunions, retreats, and other social activities are only allowed in areas classified as Covid-19 yellow and green zones.
Under the updated Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) guidelines in force throughout Sarawak until April 26, social events and gatherings held cannot exceed 50 per cent premises capacity or a maximum of 100 people in attendance.
The events and attendees must also comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs) including physical distancing, wearing of face masks and other protection measures.
The restriction of not exceeding 50 per cent premises capacity or a maximum of 100 people in attendance also applies to all zones including areas classified as Covid-19 orange and red zones for events that would involve gatherings of people.
They include business events such as meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (MICE); face-to-face meetings for official business and work held in offices, hotels and other institutions; seminars, workshops, talks, training and courses; as well as official and non-official events by the government and private sectors.
However, training session can only be conducted in training institutions. — DayakDaily
