GPS female newcomer to defend Lingga in six-cornered fight

KUCHING, Dec 6: Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) female candidate Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor, 33, will march into a six-cornered fight to defend her predecessor Datuk Simoi Peri’s Lingga seat in the 12th Sarawak Election.

She will be facing Baha Imam of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK), Abang Ahmad Abang Suni of Parti Sedar Rakyat Sarawak (Sedar), Dato Wan Abdillah Wan Edruce of Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB), Abang Kassim Abang Bujang of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) and independent candidate Mohd Sepian Abang Daud.

Noorazah is an accounting graduate from Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus.

Lingga constituency was previously held by Simoi for three terms since 2006. — DayakDaily
