TANJONG MANIS, Nov 5: Pakatan Harapan (PH) is sending Zainab Suhaili to go against first-time incumbent Yusuf Abd Wahab (GPS-PBB) in P206 Tanjong Manis.
Zainab, 53, is from Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Sarawak.
In GE14, PH sent Fadillah Sabali of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) against the 59-year-old Yusuf.
However, Fadillah lost with only 2,728 votes while Yusuf collected 11,402 votes.
At around 12pm today, Election Commission (EC) returning officer Ismail Kasah announced that his team had accepted the candidates’ nomination documents at Dewan IKS Tanjung Manis here.
Tanjong Manis has 32,948 constituents comprised of 16,455 male (49.94 per cent) and 16,493 female (50.06 per cent).
Under Tanjong Manis, there are two State constituencies, namely N41 Kuala Rajang and N42 Semop. — DayakDaily
