MIRI, Mar 26: A farmer from Sungai Rait, Bakam donated 200kg of fresh vegetables to those affected by the Movement Control Order.

According to Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) secretary general cum SUPP Piasau chairman Datuk Sebastian Ting, the target groups for the fresh vegetable distributions would be daily paid workers who are badly affected by the MCO following Covid-19.

Ting was met this morning receiving the donations from the farmer, Ma Ak Kit who presented all the vegetables from his farm today (Thursday) to SUPP Piasau for distribution.

Distribution will be carried out on Friday.

“We hope more farmers are like Mr Ma here, who come forward and donate fresh vegetables to those in need during this difficult time,” said Ting when met at Ma’s farm in Bakam.

“The well-being of our community is our top priority, we are committed to looking out for one another as we all navigate this uncertain time together,” he opined. —DayakDaily
