KAPIT, April 28: It is a straight fight between Barisan Nasional-Parti Rakyat Sarawak(BN-PRS) candidate Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong and Pakatan Harapan-Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PH-PKR) Abun Sui Anyit in Hulu Rajang, the largest constituency in terms of size in Sarawak.
The nomination process was held at Dewan Suarah Kapit this morning.
Ugak who is seeking his second term to represent Hulu Rajang is facing Abun Sui for the second time.
Abun, a lawyer, contested against Ugak in the 2013 general election with a third challenger George Lagong from Sarawak Workers Party.
In the 2013 general election, Ugak won with a majority of 5,834 against Abun Sui who polled 3,283 and Lagong, 2,129.
A total of 27,568 voters will decide on May 9 who will be representing the constituency for the next five years. — DayakDaily
