KUCHING, Dec 4: Puncak Borneo MP Datuk Willie Mongin says his election campaign will be going at full throttle after nomination day to help the three Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) candidates.

The three GPS candidates in Puncak Borneo parliamentary constituency are Miro Simuh, Datuk Dr Jerip Susil and Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn, who will be defending their respective seats of Serumbu, Mambong and Tarat in the Dec 18 polls.

“On my part, we already have our election preparation ready and this will be intensified after nomination day (Dec 6) to help our fellow GPS candidates.

“We need to help GPS to win this election to continue with our development agenda for the State and the people,” Willie told reporters today.

Willie, who is Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities said this after officiating at the closing of ‘Jelajah AgriKomodoti Keluarga Malaysia 2021’ programme at St Philip Parish Hall, Kpg Annah Rais in Padawan.

Willie appealed to voters in the three state constituencies to vote for GPS to give Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari another mandate.

This was to ensure continuity of the various government development agendas and the cordial relationship between the State and Federal government, he said.

“We have seen for ourselves that after a change in government at the Federal level, there were hiccups which did not benefit the country and the people.

“So in the State election, I hope that the people will continue to support the GPS government and give the chief minister a fresh mandate,” he asserted.

On another note, Willie said his ministry is committed to help farmers, particularly in the aspect of building farm roads.

“The ministry is also obliged to give other assistance like training and other inputs,” he said. — DayakDaily
