Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Youth secretary-general Milton Foo together with Zak Gab of Shiok Nasi Lemak and EASI Food Delivery Kuching Regional manager Gorldon Wong had delivered over 20 sets of lunch boxes with drinks to the frontline workers there.

The small gesture, Foo said, aims to boost the morale of frontliners mainly comprising police and People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) personnel who have worked tirelessly to guard Kampung Tabuan Haji Drahman from further outbreaks of Covid-19 and to protect the lives of the people.

“I also want to acknowledge business firms, namely Shiok Nasi Lemak and EASI Food Delivery for their sponsorship of meals and beverages for the frontliners.

“In spite of the severe difficulties during this pandemic, the firms still willingly came forward and carried out their social responsibility,” he commended.

Foo hopes that this initiative will inspire more companies and the private sector to step up to help one another in overcoming the challenges and hardships during this difficult time.

Meanwhile, Kampung Haji Drahman was placed under lockdown from June 14 until 28 after a Covid-19 cluster emerged with 33 people infected due to close contact and social interactions between residents in the area. — DayakDaily
