KUCHING, June 22: The Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak (DVS) will be offering free anti-rabies vaccination for pet dogs on June 24 (Saturday).
Individuals in Beratok and Serian with pet dogs are urged to go to Dewan Bali Raya Beratok, Serian from 9am to 4pm for the free vaccination.
They are also reminded to ensure before heading for the vaccination that the dog is healthy, at least three-months-old and is not pregnant/breastfeeding, and to prepare their personal identity card and vaccination card for the dog.
Following vaccination, the dog must be quarantined for 28 days to build up its immunity.
Pet dog owners and caretakers are also reminded to keep their dogs within their house compound and not let the animals wander in public places. — DayakDaily
