Four suspects in several robberies, housebreaking cases arrested

MIRI, Sept 28: Police have arrested four suspects to a series of robberies and housebreaking cases here, including Marudi and Bintulu, this morning.

The key suspect, 38, and three others believed to be his gang members, were detained at around 5.05am in Ulu Suai, Niah, by a team of Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers led by Inspector Fredly Juing.


The other suspects are aged between 19 and 32.

Police personnel carrying the seized items believed to stolen.

Also seized during the arrests were several items believed to be stolen including two outboat engines.

According to sources, the group has been actively involved in series of housebreaking and shop burglaries in Miri, Marudi and Bintulu. At least 19 cases have been considered solved with their arrests. — DayakDaily
