KUCHING, Oct 21: Four Covid-19 patients have recovered as Sarawak registered zero new Covid-19 cases today.
The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a press statement today revealed the four patients who recovered were from the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH).
With this, the total number of Covid-19 recovery cases in Sarawak has increased to 709 persons or a rate of 92.2 per cent of the total Covid-19 cases in Sarawak.
The committee disclosed the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak remains unchanged at 769 cases.
A total of 41 patients are being treated in hospital isolation wards, with 27 at SGH, seven at Miri Hospital and seven patients at Bintulu Hospital.
SDMC also revealed there were no new positive cases reported from the two active clusters in Sarawak namely the Bah Arnab cluster in Kuching and the Putra cluster in Bintulu.
In spite of that, the committee added, there were 12 new Person-Under-Investigation (PUI) cases reported, with five PUI cases were awaiting laboratory test results for Covid-19.
There were 255 Persons-Under-Surveillance (PUS) registered into hotels to undergo quarantine today. A total of 1,830 PUS are undergoing quarantine at 22 hotels throughout Sarawak.
A total of 27,391 PUS have completed their quarantine period as of today. — DayakDaily
