KUCHING, Aug 2: The four-lane, two-way road in front of SJK Chung Hua Tondong along the Bau-Batu Kawa road will be temporarily closed on Thursday (Aug 10) from 10am to 12pm for the installation of steel box trusses for the pedestrian bridge at WPC02 of the Pan Borneo Highway.
According to a notice issued by the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak today, the authorities requested that road users refer to ‘Lampiran A’ and ‘Lampiran B’ for the road closure and alternative route.
“Road users are advised to exercise caution in this area while the road is being upgraded. Road users are also asked to follow all traffic management for safety, paying special attention during the two-way road’s complete closure for road upgrading activities.
“The contractor will notify if there are any changes to the date or location of these works. In the affected areas, road users are advised to plan their routes in advance.
“Please call Sarawak JKR Talikhidmat Office at 082-203199 and WPC02 authorities at 082-682803 if there are any complaints or further inquiries about the flow of traffic.” — DayakDaily
