According to a press release issued by YPNM Sarawak, the delegation was led by YPNM Sarawak chairman Daren Ling, who was accompanied by YPNM secretary Jimmy Ling, YPNM Bintulu chairman Kapitan Dr Simon Hong, YPNM Miri chairman Chong Kong Min, YPNM Kuching vice chairman Bruce Sim, YPNM Kuching vice chairman Winston Chang, YPNM Bintulu secretary Codey Wong, and YPNM Kuching committee member Teo Wei Khiong.
“We had a very fruitful discussion whereby we touched on several current issues, especially the launching of our Bureau Community whereby our appointed YPNM counsellors would be assisting the Kapitan and Penghulu in resolving the consumer’s problems.
“We would like to welcome public members who are interested in becoming our YPNM counsellor by sending resumes to support@ypnmsarawak.org,” it said.
Furthermore, the non-governmental organisation (NGO) noted that YPNM Sarawak would be organising Statewide seminars and activities on the Awareness of National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) 997 and ‘Kempen Anti-Dadah’ throughout Sarawak as recently, there has been a surge in scam cases, and drug abuse is at an alarming state.
“We believe prevention is better than cure,” it added.
