Former TYT’s son attempts to win Balingian in three-cornered fight

KUCHING, Dec 6: The son of former Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak Tun Abdul Rahman Ya’kub, Yusuf Abdul Rahman, will attempt to win over the N.58 Balingian seat in the 12th Sarawak Election.

Yusuf, 65, who will be contesting under the Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) ticket, will face incumbent Abdul Yakub Arbi, 61, of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Abdul Jalil Bujang, 62, of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR).


In the 2016 Sarawak Election, Abdul Yakub won the Balingian seat with 4,208 votes against Nurzaiti Hamdan of Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) who only secured 1,244 votes. ― DayakDaily
