Former FAS sec-gen pleads not guilty to CBT involving RM191k

KUCHING, Aug 2: Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) former secretary-general claimed trial in a Magistrate’s Court to committing criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving RM191,298.70.

Razali Dolhan, 49, pleaded not guilty to three charges before Magistrate Dayang Ellyn Narisa Abang Ahmad, here, today.

According to the charges, the accused, while serving as secretary-general of FAS, allegedly committed the breach of trust amounting RM139,920, RM21,378.70 and RM30,000 belonging to the said association on Feb 4, Feb 13 and Jan 18, 2017, respectively.

The Judge fixed Aug 14 for pre-trial case management and allowed bail at RM8,000 with two local sureties.

The accused was also ordered to report to the nearest police station once every fortnight.

He was charged under Section 408 of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment between one year and 14 years, and liable to whipping and fine upon conviction.

DPP Ruthra Raj prosecuted, while the accused is represented by Counsel Dominique Ng.

Razali is also a board of director of the Malaysian Football League and sits on the committee of the Football Association of Malaysia. — DayakDaily
