KUCHING, Feb 4: Flood victims in Marudi received food aid from Marudi District Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) on Thursday.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the aid was channelled through Marudi Social Welfare Department (JKM) and distributed to residents at Sungai Tutoh and Sungai Baram, as well as those living in Marudi town.
The floods in Marudi have occurred since last week affecting residents living in the riverbank area and disrupting economic activities.
Due to that, traders in the district were forced to close their premises and suspend their operation temporarily. ― DayakDaily
