Fitrahsya Justin wins ‘Kumang’ title at Borneo Dayak Cultural Festival (BDCF) beauty pageant

SIBU, July 19: Fitrahsya Justin won the heart of the judges with her grace and elegance to earn the title of ‘Kumang’ at the Borneo Dayak Cultural Festival (BDCF) beauty pageant last night.

Fitrahsya beat eight other contestants to cinch the title.

She walked away with RM2,000, a crown, a sash, a trophy, hamper and a bouquet of flowers.


The contest was the highlight of the opening of BDCF, which was attended by Tamin assemblyman Christopher Gira.

At the contest, the participants wearing their Iban ‘Ngepan’ attires were judged on their attire, self-confidence and beauty.

Another contestant, Felicia Raymond was the proud winner of the ‘Lulong’ title, coming in second place.

Felicia received RM1,500, a sash, a trophy and a hamper.

The ‘Selinggar Matahari’ or third place went to Clarissa Rinya Setian who won RM1,000.

Fourth and fifth place was awarded to Olivia Gundi and Mesha Carlyni, respectively, each winning RM500.

Four contestants namely Caroline Lika Undi, Forleenarica Juana Juan, Selina Jagok and Beinnifren Bobby were the consolation prize winners, taking home RM200 each. — DayakDaily
