MIRI, March 23: A fishing boat operated by a 44-year-old fisherman crashed into the kitchen of a house in Kampung Wireless here just after midnight.
Kampung Wireless is a fishing village located at Jalan Bendahara Miri.
According to house owner, 45-year-old Samy Seruji, him and four family members, including two grandchildren, were shocked upon hearing a crash sound.
“I heard an extremely loud bang, and I though it was a car accident,” he said when met today.
“We rushed to the kitchen and I saw a fishing boat at my kitchen.”
The front part of the boat came close to hitting his grandchildren’s bedroom.
A police report on the incident was lodged at Miri Central police station (CPS).
The incident occurred about five minutes after midnight. No one was injured.
As at press time, the actual cause of the incident was not known. — DayakDaily
