MUKAH, Sept 25: Police have seized drugs in the form of methamphetamine weighing 6.25 grammes with the arrest of a fisherman here today.
Mukah district police chief DSP Jimmy Panyau said the suspect, 51, upon seeing the police, tried to escape on a motorcycle at about 7.20am at Kampung Tanjong, here.
“The police team from the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division of the Mukah district police headquarters found the drugs hidden in the compartment under the suspect’s motorcycle seat,” he said.

A urine test on the suspect came back drug positive.
He said the suspect was being remanded for four days until Sept 29 for investigation under Section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15 (1) (a) of the same act. -DayakDaily
