First of eight overpasses along Serian-Pantu section of Pan Borneo Highway to be opened to public within two months

KUCHING, Jan 12: The first of eight overpasses along the Serian-Pantu stretch of the Pan Borneo Highway will be open to the public within two months.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, the first overpass, which is a 43-metre long steel truss bridge weighing 46 tonnes, was successfully installed on Wednesday (Jan 11).

During the process of raising the overpass, traffic police officers from the Serian District Police Headquarters (IPD) managed traffic in the area as the road was closed for one hour as stipulated by the Serian Division Public Works Department (PWD).


The installation of the second overpass involving Jalan Pan Borneo on the Serian-Pantu line in the Kampung Semukoi area will be conducted on Jan 17. — DayakDaily
