Fires devastate bushland in Kuching’s Pasir Pandak and Miri’s Kuala Baram

KUCHING, July 30: Despite the brief thunderstorm, one acre of bushland near Sentoria on Jalan Pasir Pandak here was ravaged by fire today.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak stated that firefighters from Petra Jaya Station promptly responded to the incident.

In Miri, two bushfire incidents were reported. A 0.74-acre area near Kuala Baram town on Jalan Perlis 3 was consumed by flames.

Additionally, a 0.13-acre bush area near SMTC on Jalan Kuala Baram was also destroyed.

Firefighters from the Lutong Station were dispatched to handle these fires. — DayakDaily
