Firefighters capture python at Belawai school canteen

KUCHING, June 20: A school canteen at Belawai had a surprise visitor in the form of a three-metre long python on Saturday morning.

The incident was reported to the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) around 9.03 am and a team was deployed to the scene immediately.


According to the Bomba report, the python was found resting at the canteen portion of the school and the firefighters immediately used their tools to capture the reptile.

The snake was later released into the forest far away from the scene and the firefighters  returned to their station after ensuring the immediate surroundings were safe. -DayakDaily
