KUCHING, Dec 6: A fire broke out at Pasar Tani on Jalan Demak Laut Sejingkat early this morning, completely destroying four temporary stalls.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) report, they received a distress call at 2.32am and promptly dispatched a team from the Tabuan Jaya fire station, led by Senior Fire Officer II Suhardi Razali, comprising eight personnel and one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicle.
Upon arrival, firefighters found four non-permanent structures completely engulfed in flames, prompting them to swiftly deploy a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
No casualties were reported. After ensuring the area was safe and the situation was under control, the team returned to the station. — DayakDaily
