KUCHING, July 13: A longhouse in Kampung Krusen Siu, Serian was partially destroyed by a fire today.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations center, Bomba Serian and Bomba Siburan were dispatched to the location after receiving a call about the incident at 12.04pm.

An initial report from the operation commander confirmed that the fire broke out in a block of a two-storey longhouse with eight doors.
Although 80 per cent of the structure was destroyed, firefighters managed to contain the flames from spreading further. Extinguishing operations are still ongoing. — DayakDaily
