KUCHING, July 29: A fire destroyed two homes and damaged six others in Taman Malihah late last night (July 28).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) from Petra Jaya and Kota Sentosa responded to the emergency call at 10.16pm and discovered that the blaze involved four two-storey houses comprising eight residential units.
Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported.
The incident displaced four adult residents and affected 25 others, including three children.
Firefighters swiftly launched firefighting operations, deploying two hoses to contain the blaze. The fire was brought under control by 11.06pm and fully extinguished by 1.02am.
The operation concluded after firefighters ensured there were no remaining sources of ignition and that the site was safe.— DayakDaily
