DALAT, Nov 10: A major fire engulfed a two-storey shop building at Pasar Dalat this morning.
Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) reported that they received a call regarding the incident at 10.35am.
Dalat Auxiliary Firefighter Team (PBS Dalat) initiated firefighting efforts with a 400-foot hose line, two nozzles, and an open water source nearby.
Firefighters from Mukah Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Mukah) assisted in containing the fire, which was brought under control by 11.30am.
“The upper floor was completely razed while the ground floor suffered approximately 80 per cent damage.
“A nearby convenience store also sustained around 10 per cent damage,” the report said.
There were no injuries or casualties reported. — DayakDaily
