MIRI, March 4: A telecommunications tower at Kampung Iran Suai in Batu Niah was partially damaged in a fire late last night (March 3).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Batu Niah received an emergency call at 11.09pm and swiftly deployed a team to the scene.

The structure, located approximately 200 metres from the main road, sustained 50 per cent damage, affecting cables and electrical equipment.
Upon arrival, firefighters found several small fires still burning and quickly extinguished them using dry poweder fire extinguishers.
No casualties or injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. — DayakDaily
