KUCHING, April 7: A 24-hour car wash at Jalan Tan Sri Dato Amar Wee Boon Ting here was damaged by a fire on April 6.
According to a Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) report, an emergency call was received at 9.05pm and firefighters from the Batu Lintang station were deployed.
“The operations commander conducted a size-up before proceeding to put out the fire.
“After the fire was extinguished, firefighters assessed the situation to ensure the fire hadn’t spread, as well as to make sure there was no risk of reignition.
“Once the situation was safe, the firefighters returned to the station,” said the report.
The report also reported zero victims from the incident, and that the car wash sustained damages of approximately 80 per cent.
The operation ended at 9.45pm. — DayakDaily
