Federal ministers, deputy ministers to donate three months’ salary to disaster fund

KUCHING, May 31 : Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and all federal cabinet ministers will not draw salary for three months as part of their solidarity support to help the national Covid-19 fund.

Announcing this at the government’s financial assistance Pemerkasa Plus live address tonight, the move demonstrates the government’s commitment to helping those affected by the Covid-19 outbreak.

“As practiced during the first Movement Control Order (MCO) last year, I would like to announce that all ministers and deputy ministers will not take salaries for three months from June.

“The unpaid salary will be contributed to the National Disaster Relief Trust account to fund Covid-19 related expenses,” Muhyiddin said.— DayakDaily
