KUCHING, March 17: The federal government is planning to build a new health clinic in Tatau.

Health Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa said the ministry is currently identifying a suitable site, according to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas).

She also said the health clinic construction project would be included in the upcoming Rolling Plan as soon as the site procurement is completed.

“At the same time, upgrade and repair works (on the current Tatau health clinic) such as rewiring and switchboard upgrading have also been carried out since 2019,” she said in Parliament on Thursday (March 16, 2023).

Dr Zaliha was answering a question by Selangau MP Edwin Banta, who had asked for the Tatau health clinic to be expanded to accommodate the needs of 31,000 residents in the area. — DayakDaily
